I bought this to replace my 12" beaker bong that I unfortunately ended up breaking, and honestly couldn't be happier.
The 3 honeycomb percs are great - they add a ton of turbulence, which leads to super smooth hits without adding too much resistance. The splash guard at the top is definitely necessary for the amount of splashing that the percs create, though even with the guard water can definitely splash your mouth a bit if the piece is overfilled/you're using a lot of force - there's a water level I've found where this isn't an issue though.
The glass is thick and the whole piece is sturdy, I've definitely bumped it pretty roughly against hard surfaces without any issues, including knocking it over once.
Size wise, I think 14" is a great sweet spot for straight tubes, and for me it's excellent. It's just tall enough that I can rest it in my lap and take a hit that way.
If you do get this piece, the one piece of advice I'll give you is to make sure you're using it with the piece pointing straight up and down, rather than tilting it back like people often do - honeycomb percs really don't work on an angle, so to get the most use out of them you wanna make sure it's straight.
